When ordinary just won't do

Every manufacturer turns out a few models over the years that have a special look, they just stand out because they’re visually appealing from every angle, maybe the designer took a little extra time to make all of the lines flow, he kept at it until the proportions were right and didn’t sign off on it until he was satisfied. The Moto Guzzi 1100 Sport is one of those bikes.

This particular example is a European model with the speedometer in kilometers per hour. The paint and overall condition are very nice and the previous owner was the Wisconsin Motorcycle Museum. Mileage is only 7200 (11552 Kilometers), which, for a 1997 motorcycle, is quite low.

According to the seller there are no mechanical problems, the exhaust system has no dents or leaks, original tool kit is intact, paint has normal chips from road use and judging from the photos, there’s nothing to indicate the bike is not in excellent condition.

I fully agree with your write-up on the 1100 Sport. I could not have done a better representation of this stunning looking sexy Italian bike like you did. I also believe that she is going to be a keeper, and that is why I’m the one who bought this Guzzi yesterday from Johann, who is the owner of Moto Motivo here in Raleigh, NC. Johann is also my personal Moto Guzzi mechanic and friend of mine. I was lucky that I visited him at his shop a week ago, when he told me about having listed this bike on eBay. This Guzzi is absolutely stunning, clean, and was serviced by one of the best Guzzi mechanics in the US. And me knowing Johann was another big reason why I feel so good about having purchased this Guzzi! And yes, she does sound absolutely perfect. These bikes are indeed getting harder and harder to find, and to be able to buy a bike which called a museum home for most of his life is pretty much unheard off.
