Norm Wilding of Mid Missouri Motorcycles repowered a 2003 Kawasaki ZRX1200R with the engine from a 2005 Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R. He called it Kawabusa. The first time he built one of these it sold to Jesse James. The one you see here is Kawabusa II. He carried the modifications quite a bit further the second time by adding a GSXR1000 seat and tail section along with Hayabusa swing arm, wheels, brakes and inverted forks. He custom fabricated the 2 into 2 stainless exhaust system, topped off with a pair of Yoshimura carbon mufflers.
I personally saw this bike in its original blue and white paint scheme at Vintage Days at Mid Ohio. The build quality is first rate throughout.
He sold this bike to a private collector, but recently bought it back, after which he powder-coated the foot controls, muffler straps, lower tree etc., and completely repainted the bike in Gloss Black and Kawasaki Green. It looks brand new.
He’s was asking $13,500, but it’s now relisted at $12,500 for a custom build with excellent workmanship, high performance and exclusivity. It’s a turn key head turner.

I’d love to it if it’s ever listed again.
